Colander – a handy kicthen utesnil with a multitude of uses for deaining vegetables, past, and beans.

We have had this sturdy plastic colander in our kitchen for many years, and have used it almost every day to wash and drain our salad vegetables.  It also makes an excellent strainer for freshly cooked pasta as the hot boiling water does not soften the plastic.  We also use this colander to wash and rinse dried and soaked beans.
