Cranberry Apple Orange Banana Fruit Smoothie Cooking Utensils:

Knives, Inexpensive Utility
Measuring Cup, Liquid
Measuring Spoons
Vita-Mix

Preparation:

In the container of a high-powered blender (such as a Vita-Mix), we place cleaned and rinsed cranberries, peeled oranges, washed and cored apples, peeled bananas, dates, and flaxseed (which is a good source of omega-3 fatty acids).

When we see cranberries on sale in the supermarket, we buy several bags and wash and clean them and freeze them in 2 cup containers, which are very handy for making recipes like this smoothie. When we use these frozen cranberries in a recipe like this one, we eliminate the ice.

Then we add the ice. With cover in place, we run blender at high speed until all ingredients are combined and creamy smooth.

When we find that the fruit smoothie is thicker than desired, we add some ice or water and blend into the fruit smoothie. We also like to fill the blender container to near the top, because we like to each have two or more glasses for our breakfast.

We then pour our the fruit smoothie into individual glasses.

Serve with a straw and enjoy!

We hope you enjoy this fruit smoothie as much as we do.
