Basil, Sweet, Dry – Photo and Description from Vegan Venue
Basil, Sweet, Dry us a vegan pantry ingredient that we use to several recipes; it is a member of the mint family, but has a mild anise flavor instead of a mint flavor.
Basil is an aromatic seasoning of the Mint family, but it does not have any minty flavor. It is commonly used as a seasoning with tomatoes, in tomato sauces, and in salad dressings. We also like it in our chili and other similarly flavored dishes. We could not find any nutritional information for the dried leaved so we published the nutritional chart below which is for ground dry basil leaves.
