When cranberries are on sale in the supermarket, we buy several bags, and wash and clean the cranberries and store them in two cup freezer containers for use any time on the year. When using these frozen cranberries, there is no need to wash them again, they can just be added to the recipe, so we can enjoy recipes like this one any time of the year.

Wash and clean the apples, cut them into quarters and remove the stems and core. Place the apple pieces with the cranberries in the food processor or blender, and add the cinnamon and stevia.

Cover the blender or food processor container and run the machine at medium to high speed until the desired consistency is reached. Stop the food processor or blender and mix as necessary to achieve uniform consistency, and run the machine again.

Taste the cranberry apple sauce for sweetness, and if necessary add a little additional stevia extract and mix thoroughly.

Store in a closed container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

Serve and Enjoy!

We also enjoy this delicious sauce on top of our banana cream, which is a non-dairy vegan “ice cream” substitute, additionally it is great to fill the seed cavity of a cooked acorn or butternut squash.
