Melon, Casaba have a bright yellow and somewhat shriveled looking or wrinkled skin, with a flat bottom and tapered stem end.
About Casaba Melon
Some casabas may be oblong in shape. Casaba melons have a juicy, ivory to slightly pinkish colored inner flesh with a delicate fruity flavor. Casaba melons ripen well on the counter top, but it is always best to purchase vine ripened melons. When the bottom skin or the stem end yields to light pressure, the casaba is ripe.
