Makes 6 cups
1 small onion, chopped
2 small cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. olive oil
(2) 28-OZ. cans whole, peeled tomatoes, and their juice, diced
(1) 6-oz. Can tomato paste
1 T. dried basil
1 1/4 tsp. sea salt
1/8 tsp. cayenne
1 Tbsp. Blackstrap molasses
In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat.
Add onions and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, then add the remaining ingredients.
Cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
Serve with lasagna, over pasta, on pizza or with calzones. Yum!
