About Italian Green Pepper:
The Italian sweet green pepper is a variety of the species Capsicum annuum, like bell peppers and chili peppers. It has the appearance of a combination of a tapered bell pepper and that of a large chili pepper, but it has the mild taste of sweet peppers such as the bell pepper. They are sold in many large supermarkets and in many farm stores. Select only firm peppers without blemishes. They are great eating raw in salads or cooked. See the nutritional chart below.
