Pot, large stainless steel is handy for cooking various kinds of vegetable soups. See more about it below.
More About a Large Stainless Steel Pot:
We have two large stainless steel pots in our kitchen, which we primarily use for cooking various kinds vegetable soups on the stovetop (thick soups are best cooked in a slow cooker). The larger of the pots is slightly over 3-1/2 gallons, and the other is slightly smaller. We purchased them is a discount department store many years ago, and they are still as good as new. We like to cook a large pot of soup and save the remainder for the following day or two, and we usually store the left over soup in the covered pot in our refrigerator after the soup has cooled to room temperature.
We also use these pots as large preparation containers for making things like our lentil rice loaf. We place all the cooked ingredients in one of these pots, and mash and mix the ingredients together. Then we scoop out the mixture into microwave or conventional oven safe baking dishes.
Some background information:
Over the years we have found that a surprising number of people really don’t know how to cook. So, by including a list of cooking utensils and equipment that we use in preparing each recipe. This helps other people plan what they will need to prepare that specific recipe. Additionally, we are including a description and photo of each utensil or piece of equipment. This also helps beginners know something more about each cooking utensil or piece of equipment. This also helps people build a kitchen inventory of things they will need to prepare almost any meal. And, if anyone needs anything else, all they have to do is ask. We will try to find what they need and post it here with the other things.
